About Digging Deep
At Digging Deep, we believe in the power of nature to inspire, educate, and transform lives. Our collaborative includes highly skilled experts in their fields, who offer outdoor education to groups who will directly benefit from working in an environment. Supported by National Lottery funding, our non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) empowers young people through hands-on experiences in nature. Get in touch today to discover more.
Our Vision
We create opportunities for young people to connect with the environment, learn valuable life skills, and contribute to their community. Whether it’s growing food, caring for animals, or managing woodlands, our activities promote personal growth, well-being, and environmental stewardship.
What We Do
At our beautiful farmlet in Swansea, we offer a range of outdoor services designed to engage young people:
- Allotment Management – We teach young people how to grow their own food, from seed to harvest. This service promotes sustainable living, independence, and an understanding of food systems.
- Woodland Management – We get people involved in the conservation and care of local woodland areas. Participants learn about ecology, habitat preservation, and practical land management skills.
- Animal Care – Working closely with farm animals such as chickens, goats, and other livestock, participants gain hands-on experience in animal welfare, responsibility, and compassion.
